From Writer to writer
We all have a story to tell
32 Years of Queer Voices
in Minnesota
We were hired by More Than a Single Story to film the Writer to Writer event Queer Voices: Curators Past and Present, co-hosted by Quatrefoil Library and Hennepin County Library.
Held during Pride Month, the event celebrated the 32-year legacy of Queer Voices, a Twin Cities–based LGBTQIA+ literary arts group founded by curators Andrea Jenkins and John Medeiros.
Jenkins and Medeiros were joined in conversation by current curators LM Brimmer and Sherrie Fernandez-Williams, sharing stories about their writing lives and the evolution of Minnesota’s queer literary community. Together, they reflected on how Queer Voices continues to create space for all voices across our big, beautiful, and bold rainbow.
Writer to Writer is an ongoing series featuring conversations between BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) writers.
